When to Use a Circuit Breaker Instead of a Fuse

Breakers are reusable after an overload — just push the button. Good for circuits that occasionally trip (e.g., a winch, an air compressor under heavy load) where you don't want to carry spare fuses. Fuses are faster-acting and cheaper; breakers are more convenient.
